Don't you ever wonder whether the dog was bought in the end? And more importantly, whether he had a truly good home?
How many people out there actually buy pets on impulse? Just because the said animal is "so cute!!! so adorable!!!". Without first considering whether they have the means to give the animal a good home? "But he's so cute! I'll love him!" Dude, love isn't enough! Do you have the space? Can you afford the time? What do you know about the pet you want to keep? And well, 80% of the time, people that get pets on impulse stop "loving" their pets after they get tired of them and that'll be nothing more than 2 months.
That's not to say that I'm against having pets. I think it's a good thing. We've never not had a dog in the house, and we had other pets as well! In fact, I've even got 2 dwarf hamsters with me in my apt right now. (Give me a choice and I'll wanna keep a huge Alsation, but no space or time lah.) It's people that buy pets then not take care of them properly that irks me.

We always wanted to get a pet dog, we love dogs. But I don't think we can be a good owner, so no dogs for us lar. :)

Oh yeah horr... I mean I want something that can folow me around, that can teman me... one of those small pocketable dogs would be lovely...

I firmly believe that dogs should not be kept in the pocket lah.. In fact, I don't like having dogs on a leash too... :P
