Non-Stop? You sure?
This was written at 20 59hrs, 9th Dec 04, as I sit in the bus.
Earlier today, at the KKKL ticket counter at Puduraya.
Person-in-charge (W): Johor Johor… Johor… Sekarang sekarang!!!
Us: Dua tiket ke Johor Bahru.
W: Sekarang ya? Pukul lima.
Us: Non-stop*?
W: Non-stop pukul enam.
Me: *turns to A* So how? Wait or what?
W: *yaks on walky* Non-stop ke JB, ada ga?? Sekarang.
Guy: *approaches counter* Sekarang! JB! Non-stop!
W: *nods at guy* Sekarang, non-stop.
Us: *happily (well, with quite a bit of doubt too) bought the tix*
*Non-stop: Most buses to JB stop midway (in Yong Peng, Ayer Hitam or Machap) for 30 min to an hour where people can get down and grab a drink or a snack. However, some bus companies have buses that don’t make these stops. These stops, IMO, is an utter waste of time for people like me who just wanna get home as soon as possible.
Right now, I’m sitting in a stationary bus in Machap. *sobz* Ok, so we know that more than half the bus ticket sellers in Puduraya are cheats. But hey! KKKL has non-stop buses to JB and we were at the KKKL counter, so it’s logical that we trust that woman right? Stopping is one thing, but I don’t like being cheated!!! ARGH. Why couldn’t she have just told us that this wasn’t a non-stop bus?

ACtually Transnasional busses also makes stops (from the experience of my recent trip).. actually those busses that do not stop actually charge more (RM25) coz they won't be getting 'goodies' from the rest-stop operators.. so if you're paying the normal price (i.e, RM20) for so called 'non-stop' bus then u'd better think twice..^^

jeyadev, didn't buy transnasional 'cos they dun have the non-stop ones anymore (until earlier this yr, they had executive coaches which cost 50RM per person.. those were nonstop and gave u superb service...at horrible price lah)

actually it's good to stop. for the driver & passangers. the driver oso need to rest mar, so does the bus. as passanger, u can stretch yr legs a little and take a piss.
