YP's Rantings

ShuJ was running around for a long time, thinking of how to celebrate her housemate's coming 20th birthday. Where to go? Who to invite? What to do? What present to get? Everything, ShuJ was thinking, calling, asking, worrying... In the end, we were to have a surprise party for Grace at Nandos, MidValley. The plan was the Caryn and I will ask Grace out for lunch on Friday ('cos most people have stuff planned during the weekend and Caryn has to go back to her AJ darling) and we'll "suggest" eating at Nandos, where the whole gang will be waiting to spring the surprise on her. All was going well (I got into the car, made small talk, pretended that we were just having lunch..), but that was what Caryn and I assumed. That Grace, well, SHE ALREADY KNEW!!! (Someone remind me to kill a certain Sem 2 when I meet him)

Got the SMS from ShuJ that Grace knew when we got to MV, and boy oh boy... did I want to whack Grace for pretending. HRMPH. Then I remembered Sheena saying something about turning the table on ShuJ (ShuJ's Bday is on the following week) and made some phonecalls only to find that they weren't going to do that. Well, since one surprise is gone, the 3 of us decided that we will have a surprise for ShuJ instead. Made more phonecalls, sent smses... change of plans. (Talk about impromptu eh?) Three giggling girls made our way to Secret Recipe to get another bday cake (and Caryn made another blunder on the way, that's for the next post), made our way to Nandos, hid outside while the rest got ready, had people stare at us and our cake, lit the candles... and Grace the bday girl walked in with the cake.

Took ShuJ quite a while to realise that the cake was for her. To quote ShuJ, "I was wondering why Grace was carrying her own cake!!"

Heh heh. Great change of events, don't you think???

Well... 3 birthday songs in one birthday lunch... One for ShuJ, one for Jasveen and another for Grace (of course).

Everyone, say hi to the naughty birthday girl.

People should start listening when others tell them to take off their specs!!! Raspberry flavoured specs are not good...

Now, will someone please tell me where the plates of cakes we were passing out disappear to? It never seemed to stop disappearing!!!
