Mock OSCE*
I passed. Is that a good thing? I don't know.
Initially, I was really happy to have passed but thinking back, my performance was far from satisfactory. Apart from the history takings for which I gave the wrong diagnosis... the physical examination was bad...
Let's see... I went in, read the question and promptly blanked out. (I had an idea of what it was going to be... come on, I was one of the last at that station!) Re-read... Dr J commented "Oh no, I hate it when students give me this expression." Then I started. Introduced myself. Asked for permission... all fine.
Walked to the foot of the bed and realised that OMG! I forgot all about the general inspection! and mumbled something about patient being an elderly Indian man blah blah. I didn't quite cover everything in the general inspection though.
Next, on to the specific part I was to examine.
Inspection: I didn't quite know what I was looking out for. Smoke smoke smoke, managed to get 2 out of the millions.
Palpation: Reminded myself over and over again beforehand to compare, but I didn't, it was until the very end that I remembered!!! Did whatever I had to do.
Nopez, no percussion or auscultation for this particular physical examination.
Q&A: First question... successfully smoked through. Second question... d-i-e-d... I don't know what went through my mind! Simple question and I couldn't answer.
And at the end...
Feedback from Dr J: (Apart from all the mistakes I wrote about earlier one) "When you carry out your examination, you need to be more organised, more structured.. and when you tell me what you are doing, articulate your words! Speak clearer!" (To which Adrian burst out laughing...)

Congrats... remember what u have to do k?
No need for goin expensive place.... 3 star enuf.. later u pass your finals then we all go for 5 star,,, but still your treat lar..
