Mourning For White Rabbit

They killed the white rabbit!! Uhm, the sweet, I mean. It’s been taken off the shelves because it is a made-in-china milk product and is contaminated with melamine.

The white coloured milk candy with its edible paper wrapper used to be a favourite among many children of my generation. Now.. it is GONE!!! It is all very upsetting, I think I should be in mourning for the death of 大白兔奶糖. Argh. Evil businessmen and their selfishness…

    Sigh.. I love those White Rabbit sweets.. In fact, when I came back to M’sia I bought myself a packet and ate it all.. Guess I have some melamine in my system now..

    Hey, I grew up eating them, too, and I’m much older than you. Guess that means white rabbit has been around forever.

    When I was in China last year, I saw them in different flavours - red bean, corn, chocolate, etc. I brought some home, and still have some in the fridge. Dowanna throw them out - maybe keep as memento?
