Afternoon Exams
12 December 2007While I enjoy the sleeping in idea (well, waking up at a ridiculous hour doesn’t exactly put anyone in top form for exams, I suppose), I don’t like the idle morning time.
I can’t study because I am just too nervous to get anything in my head. And I can’t not study because then I feel like a bum. (Yes, here I am blogging when I’ve got a Paediatrics long case coming up in under 3 hours!!!)
Since waking up in the morning, I’ve re-read all my physical examination notes, respiratory system, cardiovascular system… and I’m going to read up DM (and management of DKA) after I post this. Yes, I’m picking topics at random because I’m too jittery to sit still. No, I’m not a happy camper.
Stress ah!!!

*mutters to self* Remember to plot growth!! Remember to palpate fem pulses!! Remember to ask about vaccinations!! *pengsan*
Update
Passed the long case but didn’t think I did well. No point remembering so many things, especially since I got a patient with so many things rolled into one (it is amazing how a tiny kid can have so many different medical problems). “Being systematic” went out the window too! Don’t ask. I might blog about this after tomorrow’s paper. I’ve gotten past the “upset” stage, right now, just a little amused by the entire experience. :P
