Updating Blogroll
9 November 2007There was a time when my blogroll was a list of blogs that I found interesting and read on a daily basis, then it evolved to being a list of blog belonging to friends and people I meet during blog meets. It more or less served as a list of bookmarks I could refer to without being on my own computer. However, with Bloglines and subsequently Google Reader, I no longer need such a list. And as with most things you don’t use, you neglect it…
I was looking at my blogroll when I realised that it is terribly outdated and must be plagued with broken links. So I decided that I should get it updated. (Come on, anything is better than studying, right?) I had 41 “blogz” links and 56 “med peepz” links, and after a lot of deleting, adding and re-organising, I now have 30 “blogz” links, 50 “med peepz” links and 9 “Blogs@Belfast” links (yes, a new category). From 96 to 89… it doesn’t look like I have gotten rid of many, but considering I added quite a number, yes, I have most likely deleted a number of links, mostly because they are broken links.
Yes, Rantings is one neglected blog… Poor thing…

Yeah, nowadays we can get updates easily using Bloglines or Google Reader :)

I have long done away with my Blogroll because it wasn’t serving any purpose, LOL.
