First Week
2 September 2007The first week of school is finally over. Nevermind that Monday’s briefing was dotted with how 4th year is a build up to final year and how everything is all important and they even threw in a little bits and pieces about foundation applications, the fact that I am in my 4th year only dawned upon me on Friday morning when I introduced myself to a patient. O_O I am not in a state of shock… and it should last for a little while yet.
Right… First week…
Briefings, registrations, elective and clinical projects briefing, travelling to Craigavon and back a couple of times, dinners-a-plenty… In short, busy.
It’s been strange trying to get back into the swing of things and I end up being really tired by 7pm each day and you’ll find me curled up in the couch, too tired to cook or even eat. (Thank goodness for great people around me, or I would have skipped dinner on Thursday evening.) Although this coming week will be busier academic-wise, I am hoping that it will be better since I have more or less settled in and “come to terms” with the fact that summer hols is over.
I think I’ll cook a batch of stuff and bring over to Craigavon with me later today, so I won’t have to cook after a long day in the hospital.
There were dinners with the 3rd years that’s blog-worthy, but I am still in bed on this wonderful Sunday morning and this post is really a keep-my-blog-alive post rather than anything. :P
