Promised Post
10 July 2007She asked me why Trisha’s 15 minute appearance got a “tribute” and she didn’t get any, especially since I stayed with her, so I promised her that my next post will be dedicated to her. So here it is:
Ladies and Gentlemen, this post is dedicated to Zen. She goes by a couple of other names, like Hua Zen (although I’ve only heard people calling her the mandarin version of that, Hua2 Zhen1) or Zennie (since that’s what she blogs as) and lenglui or 美女. I am pretty sure she is fine with all these. ;)
If you haven’t figured out from my previous posts, Zen was my batchmate during our IMU days. Since our batch was not very cliquish and we had so many common friends who we hung out with on a regular basis and celebrated birthdays with…. well, from around Sem 2 onwards, everyone was hanging out with everyone else, birthday celebrations always involved half the batch anyway… it is pretty strange that Zen and I were never really close until after Sem 5. It is actually because of the friendship I forged with Linda and Zen that I never regretted staying on in KL for that few more months. If I had gone back to JB right after Sem 5 EoS, I would never have gotten to truly know them.
Initial impression - Hrrrmmmm… I remember thinking of her as that pretty girl who can read people very well (and therefore kinda scary) and who is very good at anything artsy. I have always been hopeless at art, and am always impressed when I see people producing beautiful masterpieces, and there was Zen who designed stuff for the batch, chinese soc, and who participated in the annual art competition. As for her people-reading skill, well, that’s another story altogether.
How it has changed - Whatever I thought of her initially didn’t really change… apart from the fact that she really isn’t all that scary, ermm… I think. ;) Intelligent, humble, helpful… altogether very nice girl. Good tempered too!!! I kacau her so much when I was in KL, and she didn’t lose her temper with me… heehee… (or she can hide it very well ah?) She is currently into childbirth, and even had her first baby today! However, she doesn’t like children very much. To quote her on this, “I only like little girls with nicely tied hair who will sit quietly, and who will not cry or poo” In other words, she likes those plastic baby dolls in the toyshop lah!! :P She’s a great person and the only problem I have with her is the way she always seems to find good deals. IT IS NOT FAIR. Zen, you hear me? IT IS NOT FAIR!!! Hrmph. :P
Oh yes… She is in a relationship, so you guys don’t need to come and ask me for her contact. Someone will have my head of I started giving out her contact number… You can find out more about her at her blog though. ;)
THE END.
