Still not over the excitement
2 July 2006of my new toy, that is.
To those who still don’t know (ie. those lucky ones among my friends who I have not spoken to recently and who have not had to tolerate my crazy ramblings ’bout my newest toy), I got a macbook pro on Thursday, 29th April. She hasn’t got a name yet, Kor suggests that I call her guano. It’s a real cool name for bat droppings, but I don’t think I wanna associate my newest sayang to waste.
Oh ya. The gorgeous in question is a 15″ 2.0 Ghz MBP. She came with Microsoft Office STE and a free double RAM upgrade. And the nice salesperson at the store let me have a single 1gb stick instead of 2 512mb sticks when I asked… Nearly managed to get Apple Care at 15% discount, but thanks to a $%&*# cashier, I didn’t get that. Bahz. So yup, the machine, the extra ram and office… all for S$3488.
Yup. I took the plunge. At long last. Life’s been good on apple-land, but I think I’ll end up still having to use bootcamp or parallels. (If anyone knows where *cough cough* I can get parallels desktop, let me know ok?) Not that I can’t do most of my things on OS X, just that sometimes I still have to open a .exe file.

congrats on your purchase.. finally.. welcome to the world of apple… however there’s one rule to follow in apple world

hahaa… confusing ler. for a moment I thought my real korkor was commenting. anyway… dun care :P I’m going to munch on those crunchy fruits anyway.
