Loads to buy
2 July 2006I thought I am almost ready when I sent in all the forms and got my visa done and got my air ticket confirmed. I mean… what else is there? Just the shopping and packing right?
Now… THAT, my friends, is what makes up the bulk of the preparations. There is so much to buy and so much to pack (well, eventually lah.. I haven’t started on that yet.)
If I have categories on my “things to get” list, the only one that’s near completion is the one that says “gadgets”. And that’s because I’ve only got one item under that category. :P
Before anyone starts on the whole “don’t get winter clothings here, buy the bulk of your winter things when you get there”, well, I have no plans to get winter stuff. If I see something suitable, I’ll get… otherwise, I am not searching. Yeah, I bought 2 jackets recently. And I have the perfect reasonings for that. Firstly, when you walk into Isetan and see the Timberland section having a 50% discount, and a jacket is calling your name, you pick that up… that makes you a sane person. If you had walked away from that, you need to re-examine your mental health. Secondly, when you’re looking around for a dress and another jacket that fits the description of one you’ve had in your head all the time is sitting on a hanger, and that jacket manages to distract you from your dress-hunt, and when you try it, it makes you feel cosy and happy, you pick that up too (especially when the price tag makes you feel cosy and happy and not guilty you are getting another jacket the day after your Timberland splurge). See? Perfectly excusable, right?
Other than clothes, I do have other things I need to get. These includes contact lenses and extra spectacles, luggage cases, toiletries and every student’s best friend, Brahim. Oh… and those bottled sambal belacans. Mmmmmmm…
If anyone wanna know what’s the point of this post (and of the few posts before this), these are my keep-rantings-alive posts.

Me too, what is brahim? Bra for a ‘him’? But it’s for students. And you classify it under toiletries… so I’m guessing…
*shake head* can’t think of anything.
