Looking for a new look
1 May 2006Rantings need a new look. Not that I think there is anything wrong with its current look, it’s just getting a little boring. It may not be that bad for you, but it sure is bad for me, considering I access it several times a day. In case you have not noticed, I’m one of those who reply comments by posting a new comment post, unlike some of my fellow bloggers who do it from the admin panel and post their replies at the bottom of the relevant comments. Yup, that is why I find myself looking at rantings very frequently and it sure becomes boring after a while.
There are many wonderful looking themes for wordpress but I have certain requirements that’s making my new-look quest a little more difficult.
1. I like my header a lot. It’s not that I enjoy staring at my own back, I just happen to like the feel of the entire picture. Unless I can find a better picture, I will want this one to stay.
2. My links are getting a tat too long. Although I don’t mind leaving it as it is, if I do change a layout, I want to solve this little problem along the way. No, removing the links is not an acceptable solution.
3. I’m thinking of adding the recent comments plugin, and that will make my already long sidebar even longer, that is why pt.2 has to be addressed first.
