Flying McRoach & Datuk JPJ
24 March 2006It is surprising how bloggers manage to find out new things. First we have rkaru who discovered about the new spectacles rule in JPJ, then we have CHiQ who discovered a new product over at McDs BSC! The Flying McRoach!
Two seperate incidences, both about service.
rKaru lost his roadtax and had to go to JPJ Padang Jawa to sort things out. Because the person at the information counter was not very competent, he was made to waste a lot of time. Yes, wrong information at the information counter. Interesting eh? You would have thought that was bad… but when he asked to talk to the Pengarah (who was out for a drink at 9.30am), it made his experience at JPJ Padang Jawa a whole lot worse.
…I made the customary greetings, the salam. He looked me up and down and… disapprovingly gestured to my feet! I was wearing slippers. Excuse me Datuk, I didn’t know I was going to see a Datuk that morning. I thought I was going to get my road tax replaced. Had I known I’d ended up meeting a Datuk, I would have worn my Armani suit and Hugo Boss shoes. I mean… there I was, trying to forward my complaint to the proper authority and he was scrutinizing me like a headmaster scrutinizing a primary school kid.
The PA ushered me to a seat. As I was about to speak, the HM… I mean Pengarah cut me short and asked his PA to sit in. I waited, and when I saw that the PA had settled down, I asked if it’s alright if I begin. The Pengarah then looked at me, and said;
“Before you do, please take off your glasses from your head.”
…
I was dumbfounded. Taking my glasses off from the top of my head, I asked him what has the fact that my glasses being on top of my head got to do with anything?
He said something about the office having a proper dress code or something. Who have ever heard that wearing one’s glasses, and these were propers glasses, not sunglasses, on top of one’s head is improper dress code?
The Chikin has always been crazy about McDs, and I think her experience with the branch at BSC just killed that “craziness”.
I was waiting for the guy who just took my order to get it done when I saw a COCKROACH at the counter. Fine, like I said, it’s McDonald’s. So I told this guy (who I presume is the manager/supervisor or something cos he and another lady were the only ones in the brown shirts) and he threw, like THREW the COCKROACH in my direction. WTFMCHKNNCCB!!!oneoneone. He said the roach wouldn’t have been able to go near the food ‘cos it’s too hot. WTFWTFWTFxINFINITY!!!
Welcome to Malaysia, where Civil Servants don’t serve and McD staff serve cockroaches.
Oh ya, after these 2 incidents, I know one thing for sure, McRoach will not find a place in Datuk JPJ’s office since feelers won’t fit very well in office dresscode right?

Malaysia really has lots to catch up. First world facades, third world idiots within. Try the 19th MP or Vision 3020 for better results.
