Break From Studying
17 November 2005Some of us took a break from studying and went for debate training this evening where we adjudicated the sem 1s.
For most of them, it was the first real training and I must say that they were pretty good for first timers. A lot better than us when we first started out. All of them could stand and speak for 7 minutes, they were confident and most of their speeches had structure. Arguments and case set ups weren’t wonderful, but all that comes with experience and exposure I think. Overall, I was impressed. In fact, I think they will go very far if they put in the effort. They do have 6 months more than we did, which is a good thing. To top it off, they are a nice bunch of people. (Yeah, I like my juniors a lot, don’t jealous k? :P :P)
Having said all that, I now understand better what Sheena had to go through in the first half of 2004. Heh. *hugs* Thanks, girl.
