Lump of Clay

7 October 2005

Clay… pounded and kneaded, spun round and round
Clay… thrown into the oven, baked on and on
Clay… colour and coated, paint brush dabbing on
Clay… back into the oven, greater and greater heat
Clay… no, Tea Cup… beautifully made

Tea Cup… a beautiful masterpiece

I wrote this much earlier this year and it was inspired by a story I read some time back. Some of you may have recieved it in forwarded mails as well. I read it in a very different context and may have interpreted it in a different way. Well… *shrug*

The difference between a lump of clay and a teacup is the challenges they faced before. Similarly, each little challenge in life will make each of us a better person, a stronger person. I wrote this a long while back and decided to post it up here now because of various reasons.
1. The countdown on the left is getting to me, and I need to boost my own morale a little and more importantly show myself why I’m putting myself through all this.
2. People around me seems to be bogged down by challenges these days, and this post seemed in line with the theme “Don’t let difficulties get you down, persevere and you will emerge a better person”.
