3 September 2005Before I talk ’bout my own bday…
*Hugs and kiss Rantings* HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :) yeepei.com turns 1 today. The move from blogspot to paid hosting was done exactly a year ago. Thanks, auyong. The new Rantings saw a lot of changes in my blogolife. I changed from using blogger to MT and then to WP. I really customised my template *points to header*, put in plugins and stuff. Very cool. And in fact, the first time I pinged PPS was from the new Rantings as well.
Now, my own bday…
Bday greetings started coming in really early (on Thursday night, even), the first one being from PS and then TV. Some people thought my birthday was on the 2nd and there were quite a few early smses and “Happy Birthday” in uni, before and after MSK. Heehee, don’t know why people thought it was the 2nd though. Daniel even had to tell SC, while he was shaking my hand, “Don’t say what you are going to say, it’s tomorrow.. don’t say it now”. LOL.
Sheena and I went off for an early Bday lunch-tea-dinner thing after MSK. I got my present and a card (in which all 16 people signed! impressive!) Oh, they actually planned for Adrian, Yiwei and Jacq to appear. :) Pleasant surprise. They came with a stalk of orange daisy and a snowskin mooncake (in place of a common bday cake) and my dream bday prezzie. My favourite flower with my favourite mooncake and a voucher from my favourite store. Some of them had to sacrifice certain after exam programs they planned, Sheena had to make a rush for the last bus to Genting. Although I didn’t say much, I was really really really touched. Thanks guys…
Then it was another dinner with 2 other friends. That was nice too. Everyone has been so busy and I really miss them so much. It’s always good to meet up with people you like.
Picked CHiQ up from work and *points to CHiQ’s post* you know what happened. I’ve never had a slice of “self decorated cake” before. :) A very special slice of choccie-banana cake. Yeah, she did the icing-writing thing herself, impressively professional looking right?
More bday greetings when the clock struck 12, including a phonecall from Ithaca at about 9am (I actually thought Kor will forget). I was even put on auction! *Glares at CHiQ*
I drove home today with Raj and Xiao Zhai, and had dinner with relatives. We haven’t had a get-together for a long time already, so Ma thought it’ll be a good opportunity to do something like that. She got 2 tables at a restaurant and the family had dinner together.. . I got to meet my grandaunts, aunts and uncles, cousins and little nieces and nephews, some people who I haven’t seen for months! So ya, good to have dinner with the family and good food is a bonus. Heh. I’ve got some very pretty accessories, cute agar-agar (heehee), very beautiful flower arrangement and other nice stuff…
I’m a very very lucky 21 year old girl. If laziness doesn’t get to me too much, I’ll post pictures and bday reflections tomorrow.
