Musculosuxleton System

This is a rant

Bone after bone, muscle after muscle, nerve after nerve. OMG, I’m just going to faint from anatomy-overload. I don’t like anatomy so much so that in all the other system courses, I always get anatomy over and done with when I revise, and pray I’ll never have to look at them ever again. I know it’s an important aspect of medicine but I absolutely abhor it. Give me anything else, physio, patho, pharmaco.. anything, even parasito!

What this means… is that I’m a miserable student for the five weeks we’re doing musculoskeletal system (MSK). Not a very good way to start third year eh??? I’m forcing myself to stare at the anatomy text… spend time with my atlas… gosh, it’s terribly saddening. Studying has become a chore! (Hey, I used to like most bits of my studying.)

Well, I’m certainly looking forward to the end of MSK. Yes, I’m actually looking forward to the MSK paper so that I can get it over and done with (for now, at least). To give due credit, I’ll say that I’m really thankful that MSK is ending on the 2nd and not a single day later… I cannot imagine being so unhappy during that particular weekend.

Oh ya, I’ve decided to blame the haze and MSK for my unaccounted for melancholy last week.
